2012 Annual Awards Luncheon

Save the Date of March 11, 2012. CSWBA will be holding its annual awards luncheon with the annual open meeting to follow. The luncheon and meeting will be held at Wedgewood Country Club in Sewell, NJ. The luncheon is $25 and starts at noon. The meeting is free to all CSWBA members in good standing and will begin after the luncheon. To purchase a ticket, please contact the CSWBA office, a lane rep or a board member.

The open meeting is your chance to help shape the future of bowling. Your representation with USBC is voted on at this meet. Help choose you will speak for you at National convention. The nation convention is where rules for bowling are debated and voted on.

12th Annual Queens Tournament

The 12nd Annual Queens Tournament will be held at 30 Strikes in Stratford on Sunday, February 26th at 12 PM. Entry free is $40. Entrants should hold a minimum average of 165 or higher for 21 games or more in a USBC certified league for the 2010-11 season, and shall be a member of Camden Suburban USBC WBA.

The 2nd Annual Princess Tournament will be held at 30 Strikes in Stratford on Sunday, February 26th at 12 PM. Entry free is $40. Baker Lanes Closed After 53 Years

Baker Lanes has closed after 53 years. Over the years many CSWBA tournaments and NJWBA tournaments have taken place at Baker Lanes. CSWBA will miss Baker Lanes. Hopefully, all our leagues will find new homes at other CSWBA certified centers.

Morgan wins 1st Annual Princess Tournament

1st Princess Tournament was also held yesterday at Woodlanes in Woodstown, NJ. Paula Peery and Kimberly Paulina battled hard but in the end Nancy Morgan has the honors of being the first princess to take home the tiara.

The Princess Tournament is a new tournament established in the 2010 – 2011 season and it is open to bowlers with a 165 average below. It is formatted like the Queens Tournament but it includes handicap.

Wilkes keeps on rolling and wins the 11th Annual Queens

One week after winning the Division I – All Events title, Julie Wilkes won the 11th Annual Queens tournament. Queen runner up was Kim Colucci. Christine Lynch finished in 3rd place, 4th went to Irene Nemeth and Patti Georgette finished in 5th place.

The Queens tournament is scratch tournament in its 11th year. It is open to CSWBA members with an average over 165. The winner is determined in stepladder match play like featured on USBC Queens. Depending on entries there are one to two rounds of qualifying before the stepladder finals.

DIVISION I Team – Candy Time. Candy Time is made of Brittany Horne, Diane Horne, Barbara Robinson and Brenda Williams.

DIVISION I Doubles – the mother daughter team of Brittany and Diane Horne.

DIVISION I Singles – Deborah Calderon.

All Events DIVISON I title – Julie Wilkes.

DIVISION II Team – home lanes team of Holey Woods. They were lead by DIVISION II All – Events Champion Bobbie Beebe.

DIVISION II Doubles was also a home lanes team of Donna Brunner and Nancy Zuest.

DIVISION II Single Champion – Pamela Smith.
